Perishing Thought

I've wanted so much,
So many things that I can't even contain,
Even the mere concept of desire,
Is enough to keep me in infinite daydream,
I can stare out from above at dusk,
So high but not far enough to see the matter itself form,
And I'll look down not in fear,
But to question the fall,
For if I dive off this place into abyss,
How long will it take?
Mere segments of time to see all that matters,
And it's truly sad that in order to see these things,
I must certainly perish,
But in those moments escaped,
I'll know all that I not want but need,
Sometimes just knowing is enough,
To make life worth ceasing.
