Perhaps

Perhaps I'll find him
in realities cloak
steadfast with fiery dim
frozen woodland oak
capture my heart
lead with your hand
stricken not to apart
laying in the sand
dusting me off
from past dues paid dearly
pedestal then he'll be toff
as I stand meek merely
speak my name
I chime ever softly
acknowledge me as your dame
my newfound lover courtly
tears now fade upon my brow
smeared not for
laughter stained because of thou
pounding at my door
peace at last
from forlorn threats sincere
harnessed from the past
alas you're drawing near
Perhaps

Hello Angela … at times the past creates uncertainty so therefore this leads to perhaps in real time - thanks Angela - Lindsay

In these words I feel the need of acceptance, Angela. Once attained, there will be no more need for "perhaps". Hope you're keeping well my friend. Regards // paul

Loved this one, Angela. My own experience is once I knew who I loved, I stopped hoping. There was no perhaps anymore. That love is written in the stars and is not erasable. It's not up to him)))I made an eternal choice. Hope I make sense.I realize people do not think the way I do. Pangie
