Perfectly Broken
The world is full of broken people, with broken smiles
Who appear fixed and perfect, concealing themselves with white lies.
These are the same people who appear happy and bright all the time
Which makes us wonder, why ain't I?
Each of us may be broken, but it's not for the same reason
Few get broken, the others break the unspoken.
Promises that are meant to last forever,
get broken and end all the desires,
In their eyes, you're a liar, who cheated,
Whereas in reality you just drifted away,
From playing this painful game.
A trust is much like glass,
Once broken, it will never be the same,
Yes, it might regain the shape,
But its strength will never be regained,
It will never be the same.
