Perfection

Oh, to be beautiful, incomparable,
paramount perfection, the rival of none.
Oh, to be brilliant as a diamond is brilliant:
hard through and through-but pure as the sun.
Oh, to be luminous, and thus to be cherished-
pearls are cradled in velvet black as the night.
Oh, to be alabaster, chiselled in marble:
hard, smooth perfection reflecting the light.
