Perfect You

You are perfect just the way you are
Let me heal your hideous past scar
We were wandering around in the forest of our success
These words I say to you I express with happiness
We were bubbling with benevolence and happiness

You are perfect just the way you are
You are like the lonely twinkling star
You are perfectly imperfect in my image
Our friendship isn't water under the bridge

Erase all your worries
Breathe into me at ease
Don't embrace the darkness or you'll feel helpless
Don't give in to the feelings of utter distress

You are perfect just the way you are
You are like the lonely twinkling star
You are perfectly imperfect in my image
Our friendship isn't water under the bridge

Don't cry please...you're making me sad
Don't scream aloud...hush now, my angel
Don't be so down...I want you to feel glad
You're safe and sound - can't you tell?

You are perfect just the way you are
You are like the lonely twinkling star
You are perfectly imperfect in my image
Our friendship isn't water under the bridge

I will always love you
Forevermore
You're the one that I adore
Eternally willing to break free from captivity
Constantly yearning to be free from despondency

You are perfect just the way you are
You are like the lonely twinkling star
You are perfectly imperfect in my image
Our friendship isn't water under the bridge
You are perfect
You are perfect
You are perfect just the way you are
So don't say otherwise...
Look into my eyes...
You and I will rise above the pain of yesterday
You and I will not give in to past dismay and disarray
