Perfect World

Perfect World
If I lived in a perfect world.......

Jay Tavare would love only me and be my King,

instead of gazing at the Statue of Liberty,

and wondering why she doesn't sing.

Instead of water, kisses would rain from the sky,

blind dates would be outlawed,

they make me want to sprout wings and fly.

I would live in a house made of gingerbread,

Jay would obey my silliest command,

and hang on to everything I said.

Jay would court me with a Spanish guitar serenade,

and let me run my fingers through his flowing midnight hair,

while I quietly sipped some fancy imported lemonade.
