Perfect Storm

winds blowing, oceans rolling
my whole world seems to be going
crazy as the wind blows
through the coccals of my soul

blowing my emotions all around
there seems to be no solid ground
to plant my feet upon
my rock seems to be gone

just then I heard a voice
and I knew I had a choice
to fix mine eyes up above
under the wings of God's love

sometimes He calms the storm
and brings out the sun so warm
other times He calms the child
as the storm rages wild

so the perfect storm you see
is how I handle the rage in me
inside my heart and my mind
He will guide me through every time

so when the clouds come rolling in
I grit my teeth and dig in
holding as tightly as I can
to God's gentle loving hand
