Perfect Picture

I’m writing for my absence
For my lack of peace within
All my life I ran a distance
I ran away from everything

I know that you’re all perfect
Well, at least it’s what you think
Your boredom takes you further
Time to build some lies and resist

Make sure nobody finds you
Hide until you’re dead
Now you’re hiding from yourself too
Oh no, you killed yourself instead

I look around to what we’ve done here
I see reflections of our hate
A rushed, decaying world, we are
Build me; use me, before it’s too late

Don’t forget we must be nice now
Speak your mind and you’ll lose
It’s ok, just redesign yourself now
Be the same, never choose

Be afraid to look at this closer
Deny you’re all alone
Scream out loud in horror and hold them
Now your fear is set in stone

Do you know what we have done here?
We’ve screwed up everything
All these lives that have to shed tears
In the end, it’s for nothing
