Perceptions
From birth we're told who we'll become
They take away our voice
We're taught the path we'll follow
We never have much choice
It's sad the way we judge someone
By the instruction we receive
When we're taught what's good or bad
It clouds what we perceive
They teach us how to look at things
And the way we understand
It's time we take our blinders off
And live our life unplanned
No one knows what the future holds
In life we have to choose
It's time we make our own mistakes
Whether we win or lose
