People That Struggle Don'T Need Pain
Friends came around
upset and angry
with their children
a child's fist
flew through the wall
It's your fault
the child said
It's your fault
my life is like this
several arguments
go into make one
a child's anger because
of the state
Government rules
stupidity of men
the child was told
you have a right
to the youth allowance
you have a right to money
for him to get the benefit
required his mother
to reduce her share
money used to pay rent
now he wanted to waste on lollies
rules of stupidity
create by men
it's your fault we're like this
the words fall from
the child's mouth
cutting the mother's heart in two
words twisted by the drunken heart
word corrupted by the use of drugs
a mothers heart broken
exposed to the pain
Did she have faults
yes we all have faults
in the past she had
a drinking problem
did she create all the problems
No, children also have brains
they decide if they take drugs
they decide if they become violent
they decide if they're going
to break the law
They decide to avoid school
talk through lessons
decide to cheat
or act the fool
yet sometimes there's a problem
sometimes the eye's can't see the board
sometime the teacher works to fast
and the child can't keep up
sometimes the teacher
also shares the blame
lifes complexity
the challenge is
to unravel the truth
don't look to criticize
or punish
look to build systems
that improve life
people that struggle don't need pain
