People Fade

As people fade from my life I think of how they may be.
And of those whom I ponder have they ever thought of me.

Things used to be so simple when I was a youth.
With the simplicity of innocence and social uncouth.

Even as I ponder such things and watch as gold turns to dust.
Life can be so full of impulses yet growing up is a must.

If we all need to grow up then we must need to be mature.
For so many details are lost as I watch the memories begin to blur.
