People Don'T Change

It's a shame the way people stay the same today
They don't change

They say "I'm going through changes
What I say is true and
When I'm done with my phases
I will be a new man
I'm setting on the right trail
Heading on the right track
There's no way in hell
That I'm ever going back
To that dark place
I will be right here
Not in any case will you face
Having to see me disappear
Don't you ever fear
That I won't be near
I've cried many tears
And tried plenty of years
To get my life straight
I knew it wasn't my fate
So I had to migrate
To a wise state"

People don't change
No matter how hard they try
All they do is rearrange
Their twisted lies.
