People

I’m watching the people pass by, Looking for answers in the sky. The breeze hits my face, But I only long for your embrace. In a world that seems so plain, It is you who keeps me sane. It’s strange to see how relaxed people are. They seem to have not one bruise, not one scar. Maybe I’m just one to wear my heart on my sleeve. Makes me wonder what people will say on my death’s eve. Love is patient, love is kind. That’s what I’ve heard, but I’m losing my mind. It is your kiss for which I long. It tears through me like a knife, like a song. Wishful thinking won’t get me anywhere, Because what I want, I want to share. People never see me as I truly am. They don’t know how I work, how I jam. I don’t know if that means people cannot see, Or if I’m really not the person I want to be. Either way life is the same, Always complex, yet always tame.
