People

People say that rainbow comes out after the rain
That the sun will shine after the rain
That true love burns brighter after the pain

People say that our love won’t last for even a day
That you are too young to be mine anyway
That it’s premature and it’s not okay

Half of me believes them, but half of me is skeptic
But who are they to judge a love that is so unique
What proofs do they have to guide
If they themselves have already lied
For the sake of their own understanding
And for the spirit of pretending

People’s business is just one way ahead
But I don’t believe in everything they said
I’m still contended to sleep in my own bed

People’s curse is always endless
Most of them have gone faithless
For their sacrifices are fruitless
