Penguin's Dream

Penguin's Dream

The Penguins were busy,
In their joyous dance,
Like teenagers, who get lost,
In their first love and talks. 01

Love was shining brightly,
In their lustrous lovely eyes,
And the Joy of love was splashing,
In every steps of their dance. 02

Amazed by their beauty in grace,
I felt a rhythm of joy in their mood,
As if, I too was in tune with them,
With a pinch of love, sprouting in me. 03

Age, in those beautiful moments,
Had no longer remain a barrier for me,
Waves of joy we're touching the sky, and
My mind was in dance with those Penguins. 04

Those beautiful birds were moving like Kings & Queens,
Without fearing for yesterday and tomorrows,
Penguins were looking towards their soul mates with love,
Enjoying completely the moments, they were breathing. 05

They all were still in muttering mood,
In their joyful dance of love and singing,
Penguins continued their alluring dance,
Away, quite far away from me. 06

Suddenly a big cold splash gave me a jolt,
And I found, I was only dreaming Penguins,
Unknowingly I too was floating on waves,
With some of my early age Penguin dreams. 07

Back for a re-read, Ravindra. Just a pinch of love sprouting in me...Very nice way to describe this type of love...It's almost like a bunch of middle school kids at recess! ha ha. ( I have a penguin in that age category!) ...Thanks for the update on our friend. Yes, perhaps that may happen in the future...wouldn't that be great!? Best to u! Gwendolen

How beautiful. There is a proverb in Hindi from the great Indian Epic Ramayan, which says "Ja ki rahi Dhaarna Jaisi, Prabhu Murat Dekhi tin Taisi" means "You see God in things or things in God, as per the concepts of your mind and feelings. Thanks once again my friend. Ravindra

Too darling! How imaginative and childlike, Ravindra! My father used to call me Pen-Gwen as a joke. I have always been fascinated by their awkwardness..If u are a premium member u could attach the photo to the poem under "about this poem." I wanted to stop by and tell you that last fall I wrote a poem in honor of you and some other poets you might know...Please stop by to read it when u have the chance...I never realized u may not have read it. Enjoy it though...Gwendolen ----Rajasthani Puppets---- :)

Thanks. You are very right my friend. Almost everything in this world has the second dark side too. If love and friendship there, quarrel and hat rated has got to be there or else we would never be able to know the value of love and care. I have deliberately ignored it to give a tribute to Penguin’s alluring beauty and their living gestures which created a melody in my mind. Love & best wishes..
