Pearly Tears
Though out of breath,
she ran through the crowd
Muscles contorting,
showing her determination and strength
"I can't wait to show him off" she thought out a loud
The sisters would be green with envy
I will show them
yes! Gato can get to the acme
The sister's watch her run into their gathering
The setting glow of the sun, radiating on her skin
Her natural hair,
thick and full like a lions mane
Hmm no wonder she is as proud as a peacock
So fortunate,
the Gods could be quite unfair
"I am getting married,
a prince from faraway land
with a castle so large and splendor so vast ,it could rival kingSolomon's
I shall be his queen,
I shall have servants to tend to my needs
butlers to pour my wine
and a fountain to quench my thirst"
Gato it would be wise to wait for the scouts to return
With proof that your prince is true
why should I ?
Is it not a known fact that my beauty is the bane of your existence?
I care not for soon I shall be clothed in pearly apparels
when my prince come to take me home.
It's been a fortnight, yet no one has heard from her prince.
Frazzled she stared at the stranger, walking towards her
I am your princes royal chief guard
I shall escort you to meet him in your new home.
With pride and joy,she prepared her self
The sisters were sceptical,
but who would say a thing and risk
her fiery tongue lash
Farewell,farewell they wished her
She beamed excited of the luxurious life awaiting her
I shall go no farther
she murmured
A bath, I haven't had for days
and my clothes wreak of sweat
she groaned
My back aches and my bones are tired she moaned
Only a mile ahead and our journey ends.
He urged
The people cheered her on
The rumours are true ,they say
She is as glorious as the moon
she looked on in wonder, at the grandeur
Indeed the brilliance is as promised,
Her crown were made of pearls. she wore it and twirled
Where is my prince?
Why do he wait so long to see me?
Why do people shake their heads and sigh when I walk by?
Why do you all hear me but noone speaks?
I shall go for a walk to clear my head
When I return I demand answers
The aroma of freshly blooming flowers engulfs her,
I shall ask the servants, to bring them in at dinner
Ahead of her lies a grave with newly made stone head
and on it, was written in gold
Here lies, the remains of the prince of faraway land
Her scream seared the wind as she beat her chest in anguish
Here lies the price for her pride
Her knees gave way,as she falls to the ground
and by his grave she shed her pearly tears
