Pearls of Tears
Tears rise like mist from the sea of sorrow,
hit my eyes’ inner visage with profound pain
like the rain drops crashing on the window pane.
My weeping eyes make brine of melted grief,
tear beads are poised suspended on eyelash tip,
as I sob they drop down, they’ve no promise to keep.
As I cry the flow of tears cascades on my cheek
like sparkling streams sprinting on the rocky face,
my desiccated soul gets the touch of moist embrace.
After the raining night dawns the sunlit day,
in the yonder horizon a verdant meadow appears,
on swaying tips of slender grass shine pearls of tears.
