Peacock Sports a Hat
Peacock sports a hat with a rah rah rah
For a male bird, he is a kind of dawdy-dah
We tried not to stare at the contraption on his head.
He is crazy, this cuckoo bird, a designer said.
He’s a model, it’s not his fault argued his mother.
He wears it on the runway threw in his brother.
Getting no choice at all about what he has to wear.
The rest of us averted our eyes, trying not to stare.
