Peace To All Out There In the Darkness

I send out this 
     work 
to all of you 
     out 
     there 
     in 
     the shadows 
A light will come 
   to you 
if you want it to 
The great teachers and masters 
of the past 
    were not deceived 
by this mortal 
    coil 
  They knew we 
could over come 
    it 
if  - and only if 
  we were diligent 
in our efforts 
   The years have come and gone 
   Do you not see 
what is meant by happiness? 
  Do you see 
      that sending out poetry 
   is a magnificent thing?    
      Keep it up! 
    The years weigh heavily on 
all of us 
But if we persist 
    joy will come 
to us all!
