Peace Lily: a Remembrance

Peace lily a potted plant
Long enerald leaves with white blooms
Simple teracota pot contains and nourishes
A sympathy gift, a daily reminder-forget me not!

I hear Wallace whisper, as I pace and rant
Our time has been paused and will resume
Peace lily a potted plant
Long emerald leaves with white blooms

Mischievious smile has a posessive haunt
The still broad leaves echo in the room
A voice that prophesizes gloom and doom
Your name has a new slant
Peace lily a potted plant
