Peace Disturbed
I envied the kite’s peace bound persona in every aspect except for its conquered liberties
Captured liberty threaded within ropes leading to the hand of man
How tragic that man’s mania of ownership has claimed the scenery of peace
The kite flies continuously as if it’s attempting to escape the ropes hold
The children watch in fascination of such a delicate picture
I watch in sorrow wishing I had my pocket knife
I’d set you free little kite. I’d set you free
(excerpt from my journal, not an actual poem. Lol sorry for the waste of time)
