Pawprints On Your Heart

Once you have a furry friend- there is no going back They make up for a lot in life- that you don't know you lack They have a way of sneaking up on you- when you think they are asleep And are the very best ones- your secrets for to keep. Whether you are a dog person- or your passion is a cat The pure pleasure you receive from them- really is all that! If you are not fond of animals- you don't know what you are missing To me I'd rather have them- than Mr. Right be kissing. As a young child- you were probably exposed to many a pet A cute little puppy or kitty- would be my first bet. Your parents would have instructed you- on the responsibilities a pet owner has to maintain. With all the rewards a pet gives you- there's many a numerous gain. Maybe you were much older- when you first experienced "pet" Love It descends upon you in short bursts- like a gentle floating Dove Our furry friends sneak into our hearts- leaving several pawprints behind. They stay with us forever- in our hearts and mind. There eyes have great depth- and can take your breath away And once you truly bonded- you know that with them you'll forever stay! Our furry friends will be with us- through thick and thin We're more closer to them- than most of our human kin! When they are sleeping- we wonder what they dream? Perhaps chasing balls or butterflies- taking a drink from a nearby stream? Watching them playing and having fun- is really such an exhilarating treat! It can turn your whole day around- making you feel upbeat. Our Furry Friends seem to know- when we need them the most Giving us Love and infinite pleasure- as in our laps they coast Although for one reason or another- from them we may have to part I feel totally Blessed and privileged- having numerous "Pawprints on my Heart!"
