pause

pause

press pause on depression
but the feeling persists
change my expression
but my stomach still twists

twisting and turning
no end in sight
waiting in darkness
longing for light

searching and searching
with all of my might
i hear your voice
i see the light

the light lingers, then leaves
alone in my head
my heart grieves
here comes the dread
