Pattern To Escape
I let myself fall back to the one I am with
What I tell myself we have is completely a myth
The imminent disappointment every time we kiss
Makes me see there is something truly amiss
How can I from this revolving circle escape
Break free into the life shared with my one true mate
Have I hoped to early or come to late
To find the remnants of what I long to create
Forever in my dreams, locked behind the door
Am I left to wander with regret and nothing more
