Dr. Upma A. Sharma Poet Rhyme

Patriotism

Patriotism is in the air,
And sentiments high,
Cataclysm is over,
Liberation heaves a sigh!

Insufferable inequality,
Now is ineffable ecstasy,
Undeterred determination,
And honourable judiciary !


Providential independence,
Undisputed Unification,
Living to credence,
Spirit of nationalism!

All men created equal, by creator endowed with certain,
Unalienable rights- life, liberty and pursuit of happiness!






** last two lines have been taken from Abraham Lincoln's centrepiece of rhetoric ( in Gettysburg address of 1863) and is a well known statement on human rights

Yet cheering good works is patriotism to a higher calling. America once stood as a beckon of freedom to the world. Now with its leader it squanders its past and promises so much less. Dr. Upma A. It's a sentiment I agree ,, spending too much on defence,, yes it's due to fears of being subdued,,wars in name of patriotism ,, blur on humanity,, real patriotism would be fighting against inequality,, that's what I construe of patriotism truly,, Not fighting for territories,, fights n bloodshed r real blot on humanity!
