Patience and Apologies
I’ve hurt you and I feel remorse
in using words with so much force
without relenting on my course
then stop and realize my blame
for causing you such bitter shame
I must redeem myself to say
tomorrow is another day
forgive me as I meant no harm
to scare your soul with such alarm
apologies are due from me
to give you solace with my charm
our love was always meant to be
I take your hand and stroke your face
dispelling anger with such grace
conclusions that are still to come
why is it that you are so dumb?
