Pathways

so many road blocks and exits along the way
each day a choice given freely to each 
to take whichever road they choose
did you think about it before you started walking  
or did you wait until you were in the middle 
of your journey and realize that you had
taken the wrong pathway
did you turn around and go back or
did you try and make the best of the
path you had chosen hoping to learn
from your mistakes knowing that
tomorrow is a new day and there will
always be a new pathway to pursue
