Pathway to Forever
I have had so many dreams in life
And a few have even come true
But the one I’m wishing for the most
Is the dream of a life with you.
You have such a gentle soul
And you’ve invited me inside
Your warmth and love envelope me
And our hearts inside abide.
Somehow I have come to believe
That there is a higher power
And I will never again doubt
That love blooms just like a flower
The sum total of all the nourishment
That comes from Sun and Rain
Tempered with love and care
Makes it a strong resistance to pain.
So come and take my hand
Our hearts and souls together
We shall follow the path clearly marked
Our own pathway to forever.
