Paths
I have a choice
One way or another
Standing at a crossroad
Wishing I didn’t have to choose between
Or there could be some other.
One way leads to money
To fame and to glory.
The other doesn’t hold these
But it’s decent, nonetheless.
And they say money isn’t always the way to happiness.
The other leads to people that love you,
Happiness and fun,
Never being down and never being shunned,
And loving your life until it’s done.
I can only pick one of these two.
The last two paths,
The ones I don’t consider,
Are the two paths that would only be chosen
By a depressed man or a demented sinner,
And I would not like to go into detail about those, since they don’t matter.
So, I look at my two choices,
And I make my decision.
I take the road of happiness,
I cannot tell a lie.
And I turned to the road of wealth and eternal suffering and I said one word.
Goodbye.
