Pathos

Silent and broken
Likes waves against rocks
Unyielding and brutal
Crashing yet unspoken

Ebbs and Flows
mist spraying and exposed shocks
a silence unbroken
'till nature itself mocks

Yet peaceful and unbothered
all trial deemed frugal
unbothered and cold
quiet and brutal

Ignored

A stark, effective poem that lets the sea’s violence mirror emotional endurance and neglect. The short, fractured stanzas and recurring language—“unbroken,” “unbothered,” “brutal”—create a compelling, cold rhythm, while the rock-and-wave imagery carries real pathos.
