Path of the Dead

You may walk
the path of the dead,
but I warn you, it's a dangerous
path that you tread

Always keep watch
they'll tear you apart
keep close your life's breath
and your beating heart

the souls that dwell here
are hungry for giving
all the dead want
is a piece of the living

when you choose to visit
you can't go back and tell
there's little escaping
so welcome to hell

Just trust me, don't falter
they'll rip you to shreds
keep to the path
because violence spreads

I wouldn't go walking
into this blackness that rolls
I know because I live there
I'm one of the souls
