Path of Confusion
No special place that we should be
Yet we are on our way,
Appearing to be standing still
With so much left to say.
While looking for the answers
We're not prepared to take,
We lose the understanding
Of the questions that we make.
So much greed and selfishness
So much we want to keep,
We have the choice and yet we choose
To follow on like sheep.
Too many people want to lead
Too many want to rule,
Do we think that having power
Makes us look less like a fool.
Anyone can be a king
You do not need a throne,
Your kingdom's in the things you give
Not in the things you own.
