Path

My path is now unclear...
I walk aimlessly through the haze...
My legacy of nothing...
Only memories of her gaze...
I am merely treading water...
Pretending not to drown...
Always listening for the music...
Yet I never hear a sound...
This path leads to nowhere...
So I may just turn around...
Maybe climb up on the ledge,
to watch the rushing ground...
My compass is broken...
Visibility compromised....
I sit where I once stood...
Lost and traumatized...
