Past Venus and Mars
The Moon slipped Mimosa* a drink
The Star blushed and then blink-blinked
A comet gazed at this scene from afar
Zoomed away past Venus and Mars
A perfect storm was brewing on Saturn
All the rings were creating new patterns
Phantasmagoric, like the sun's wild corona
Dramatic as a master-matador in Barcelona
All this took place last June
When newlyweds revel in honeymoons
As for me, I turned out the light
And kissed the Night-Sky goodnight
