Past Gone By

You say its hard to let go
You have been together so long
But all she does is hurt you
Can’t you see that this is wrong.

You do something nice for her
She doesn’t even care
Your heart needs to do something
To get her out of there.

I know how hard it is for you
You need to get stronger
Because like it or not
She doesn’t care any longer.

You have someone new
Who would give her life for you
You need to realize what you have
Then maybe you will stop feeling blue.

I leave you with one more thing
She is your past gone by
I am what lies ahead in life
With me you will no longer cry.
