Past

She lets him run through her.
She's not sensitive to the fact.
Her skin has become so thick.
He enjoys the commitment free.
The familiar senses she entices in him.
The sex.
How exiting that he still posses the power of making her weak.
How selfish of him to use this against her.
She carries her past scars as her new beauty marks.
The wounds are no longer fresh, but she remembers the cause.
She chooses to ignore his past indiscretion. All the lies.
She was happier not knowing the truth.
She insists on the truth. Swears by it, but is disgusted just the same.
She deals with it.
She knows why he is here and she also knows why he leaves again.
She is comfortable with the commitment free.
She prefers not attaching feelings to his touch.
She no longer believes in the innocence. He's now been corrupted.
She had to learn the same to keep up with his tricks and schemes.
She enjoys the sex.
Although she gives more than she receives.
It satisfies her to tend to his needs.
Still wants to claim the throne.
For one single moment she is in control and she loves it.
She puts words in his mouth. She likes hearing him say them.
He's only sincere during. He forgets shortly after.
It's OK. She's a big girl. She knows what to expect.
She will most likely stay open to him for a long time to come.
It's nostalgia when she feels for him, when she thinks of him, when she lets him in.
It's all she knows, so she accepts.
Little of him is better than none.
