Passing Time With Rhyme
snow-covered winter came calling
lightning thundered split trees are falling
gurgling streams spread spring’s overflow
bringing new life to all that grow
flowers dressed in red, white and blue
articulate how do you do
pastel hues are too many to mention
splendor shouts at this glory convention
animal, creatures and petite leggy crawlers
flyers, swimmers and battling brawlers
woodlands astound with flora and fauna
renaissance born in a natural sauna
a slender snake glistening green
surreptitiously murmured unseen
a bug, frog and salamander or two
sought shelter beneath a privy of blue
squirrels rustle probe fallen leaves
butterflies whispering flit in the breeze
blue birds warble to a fat pudgy dove
while scouting housing in branches above
