Passing Through
Looking for a reason
Biased and confused
Searching for the answer
If only to amuse
The hope that you hold falsely
Restrained and intertwined
Twisted by the downpour
The angel prays you’ll find
Carrying the burden
A face that turns to stone
Becoming the golem’s martyr
Inside you die alone
The betrayal of a father
The blind eye of the son
The denial that death collects
Only when you’re done
Past your own testament
Sits a world that waits for you
Too scared of the evidence
You’re never passing through
Only you….
