Passing of the King
Carry the casket over the ground
For in this time eternity bound
Plant the red roses near to the stone
To decorate his forever home
Write on the cross his entire name
And have the fife play a soft refrain
Then release white doves into the air
While the priest recites a holy prayer
Lower him e'er softly to his rest
And ensure his gaze is to the west
Cover him now with the rich, red earth
That has come from the land of his birth
They will set a time to celebrate
A life most humble yet somehow great
They will call the masses west to east
To join the town for a weekend feast
Then an author will write history
And pen a story of mystery
Of all to be has already been
And one day the King will come again
