Passed Sorrows

So easy it is to dwell on sorrows past
So easy for hurtful memories to last
What courage we must create each day
To let sorrows be passed and fade away

I remember, oh so well, the day you…
Stop, let me share my feelings too…
Today those emotions may still remain
Keeping them alive will drive me insane

I choose to let my sorrows be passed
I live for now, not future or past
Each sight and sound, each smell and touch
Bless me today, give me so much

I’m happy to be just me and just now
That’s all I have time for, each day, somehow
Because I am alive and living each day
On my terms now, it’s the only way.

Good poetry and an important message. My 'signature' on another site is:.....------ The moment created this second, is a moment that's going to last. It lives the full spectrum of time, the future, the present and past. ------ I feel your poetry sums this up beutifully....Ivor
