Passages Here 8

Humid and hot
Sticky weather persists;
Not even a breeze

Quick strides stumble
Sandy footpath skid;
Jerky reactions

Fruit vendor smiles
Full harvest and more:
Pineapples, guava, durians

Extra long queues
Food court sanctuary;
Hungry mouths parade

Here we go again
Newspaper vendor;
Politically inclined

When I discern
Do I see truth;
Beauty is fleeting

Charm speaks
Drama surfaces;
Sensibility evaporates

Too soon sunset swings,
Abrupt twilight falls;
Tea cup almost empty

Sudden moan and groan
Aches and pains sculpt;
Final testament
