Parting Ways

There is nothing more severe
Than the severing of ties
A looking for connections
A reason for me to cry

Meant with the best intentions
We often play the part
I have to look the other way
They are off to a new start

We have bonds that will not break
And hearts that will continue to beat
I will see you again soon
Maybe even next week
