Particularly My Truth

The truth about me is particular
as it's related solely just to me
for my circumstance and experience
is mine so only I can make this plea

Having struggled through school fearfully
stuttering not achieving much to say
as well as colour blind and not too clever
but in mid 20s God turned night to day

There truth grabbed me by the throat
this is real and true it said
follow and keep in particular step
it'll lead you to be fulfilled and fed

As Jesus my saviour filled me inside
His holy spirit dwelling fully within
enlightening my mind to His truth
showing His love forgiving my sin

Being avid reader all things good
learning history afresh a new thing
happily married being full of bliss
life's good melodious feeling a zing

In retirement now enjoying time
nature and colours as I walk
feeling so abundantly effortlessly free
my truthful life this is it, let's rock!
