Park Days

Do you remember the time we climbed the trees ?
Had so much fun and happily scraping our knees
I also remember how hard we hit that ball
You scored all the goals if I rightly recall

It was fun on the park so young and carefree
Two boys enjoying themselves like it should be
On a warm summer's day a game of hide and seek
Happiness and pleasure everyday of the week

Time moved on and the park days soon passed by
The two boys drifted apart I'm not going to lie
School days and park days went by really quick
One boy turned out smart the other was thick

I wonder what became of those boisterous boys
Once so full of energy once full of noise
Real life took over I'm sure that is a fact
Sad and upsetting that they should lose contact
