Paris In the Rain

*~ PARIS IN THE RAIN~*

I shall never see
the great Champs de Élysées
only in humble dreams

cute sidewalk cafes
the Eiffel Tower aglow
only in my soul

French cuisine, oh
Parisian music so divine
It was not my time

Emilia ....At least you have been to France. Maybe you still can go, one day in the future? I hope you can. Merci from across the pond, Pangie xx

Had a few days in paris years ago, saw all the sights, my only regret we didn't go into the Notra Dame. although we went in to the Sacra Ceur. My highlight was going all the way up in the Eiffel Tower. The palace of Versailles is something else. Tom

Oh, I do envy your experiences....especially the Eifel Tower. I can't even imagine the Palace!! They are still working on Notre Dame. You are not that far from Paria as I am. You can go, unless borders are closed due to Covid Merci. Pangie xx

Panagiota, So sad to let go your dreams, even in a poem. That city reminds me of Rick & Ilsa from Casablanca. ““We’ll always have Paris. ~~~“…Here’s looking at you, kid.”” -Richard

Love this, Pangie. I see that at last I have done something you have not done. I got to see Paris back in '74 with my Study abroad group on our way to Madrid. That is a year I shall never forget. never again will I travel abroad (hubbie not interested and the evil ones will make sure only the vaccinated get to travel)
