Parent's Don'T Understand

Parents don’t understand that we children can’t live by their master plan.
If we live by ours, that we are only happy and successful indeed.
Parents don’t understand whether or not our plan carries prestige,
That their kids should give what they like the best a shot.

They just don’t understand and I haven’t a clue why!
They must understand that their kids and they would have better ties,
If and only if they don’t try to pursue their shattered dreams in your children’s lives.

Kids if there is a gut feeling that you have about something good for you,
And your parental units disapprove. Be sure that is really right for you,
Then make your move. When all goes well, you’ll be glad you took a stand.

Your parents will soon come around,
And their countenance will transform from a frown to a smile.
This is my advice to you, be aware that sometimes your parents-
The people that gave your DNA to you,
Will not understand and disapprove what you’re set out to do.
