Paradise Passing By
I seen it there in that girls eye.
Paradise passing by.
She turned away without a sigh.
Distant dissapointment she couldn't deny.
Someday dreams lilting in the air.
She's young enough, half a care.
Some people grow up, just don't dare.
Love left behind what they didn't share.
The more we live, the more we learn.
To keep a watch at every turn.
The things we see, sometimes return.
Sometimes, flame out and never burn.
Artist's, builder's, entrepreneurs.
As they endeavor, learn what endures.
What fades and what secures.
Paradise passing through the years.
