Papa

Remember back in the day,
Back when I was just a tot.
You would drop everything just to play,
It did not matter how sore you got.
I was the sparkle in your eye,
We brought each other so much joy.
Everything under the sky,
We made as our toy.
Learning something new,
Was your plan for me.
And as long as I was with you,
Learning it would be.
You had such a gentle touch,
Even when laying down the law.
I love and miss you so much,
But I will never forget you Papa.
