Pandemic Panic

Pandemic Panic They ran out to buy all the toilet paper they could find They ran out and bought all the hand cleaners of all kinds They cleaned out all of the shelves from our grocery store They took all they could carry and cried out for more They bought things that they would never buy before They hoarded things, thinking they made a big score They didn’t care if there was enough for you and I They didn’t even think, or stop and questioned why They only wanted to exploit those who were in need They only wanted to quench their thirst for greed They didn’t stay home, stay in quarantine as they should They didn’t believe they were sick, nor thought they would They didn’t believe that this pandemic was all true They didn’t care if others got sick, nor cared about you They lost the concept that we are all in this together They lost the idea, it will take some time to weather Try not to be one of them, show your true humanity Try not to get caught up in all this unfolding insanity We will all get through this, if we work together as one We will beat this, we must all do our part, till it’s done

The panic is indeed something many are experiencing, and the greed is something that is recognizable now. Well penned.
