Paltry Parishioners

PALTRY PARISHIONERS

When evil wins the battle with and over good
When my wickedness rids the world of the righteousness for sin
Mr., that’s when I’ll arrive in the right neighborhood
And sister, that’s when the true darkness in my heart will begin

I’ve been sinning for a lifetime and will until I die
While all you phoolish choose to phollow a fairy tale
Oh poor Jesus shed His blood so they want me to cry
Well as for me the only time I cry is when I can’t make bail

I’ve been beaten down and beaten up in the name of your Lord
Because He ain’t done nothing to prove to this junkie that he’s real
All I am surrounded by is depression, deprivation and discord
And what if I’m correct and Satan is the real deal?

Then what the hell are all you parishioners going to do?
Will you bow to the father of evil after discovering that which is true?
Because at this tumultuous time Satan’s followers are more than a few
And his army is growing and I know because I was once just like you

I have read The Testaments, both the old and the new
And I don’t give a damn that Jesus was nailed to a cross of wood
I know not when father Satan will vanquish religion and God too
But when he does I want him to be my landlord in my bad neighborhood
